Blooming Wild Weekend Recap

Where do I even begin? This trip was an absolute dream! Actually the travel portion ended up being quite a fiasco but the event… the event was magic! Every moment left me feeling more & more grateful! Being able to go with one of my best friends while she taught her first ever event class was such a blessing. She rocked it & I am so proud of her!

Kelly,

You’re one in a million and my life is exponentially better because you’re in it. Thank you so much for inviting me to tag along & thank you for introducing me to all your crafty friends.

Speaking of crafty friends… I got to meet Paige Evans & Shara Crane! Like COME ON! School girl excitement under that smile!

Meeting Kelly’s people was a highlight for sure! This is sweet Raime & we knew all about each other because of Kelly so it was like we were friends all along. The talent in one room was enormous!

We took 6 classes in total. 2 from Paige, 2 from Shara and 2 bonus classes. One from Kelly and the other from Vee Morales. Each one was as good as the last and I walked away with amazing projects & techniques to carry forward.

Kelly doing what Kelly does best! This woman is SO talented! Each project that she works on is an actual piece of art! She spends hours, days even, creating each one and it’s so very inspiring!

Did I mention I got to meet Paige Evans! No big deal. I also got to pick up my copy of her new book! It’s jam packed full of inspiration, new project ideas and beautiful imagery. You can find it here in her shop and here on Amazon.

There were so many sponsors and fabulous door prizes. Some attendees came with gifts for the whole group- it was amazing! I was constantly blown away by this community!

I confess to not completing most of my projects but this one I did get done at the event. The rest had to wait until I got home. We created this fabulous banner and chunky charm in Shara’s classes. The wrapping of beads left me sweating and angry more than I’d like to admit but once I got the hang of it I was obsessed. I’ve taken up buying beads now so that’s been a fun new hobby… if only I would get to creating with them. 😉

I took part in 2 swaps, one memory dex and one insert swap. I had never made either but ended up absolutely loving them both! These are the memory dex cards I received and the cute little holder gifted to me from Kelly. That little suitcase actually opens up! People are so talented!

These are the inserts I received from my swap group. Some of the exchanges came with little gifts and that was a fun surprise! It really was such a cool experience being part of these swaps.

I made friendships on this trip that will hopefully carry on through the years and I’ve already signed up for my next event. A Halloween themed event hosted by Shara in Vermont! Vermont in the fall… it will be dreamy! I can hardly wait!

Until next time,

xo
