I was asked to create a project for Creative Scrapbooker using recycled playing cards for their Frugal Scrapbooker column. I chose to create a 12×12 layout using my cards and it was published in the Fall 2019 issue of their magazine. I am always so grateful to be included among so many talented creatives in this publication.
I knew exactly what photos I was going to use when I was asked. Every summer my aunt & uncle have us over for a BBQ and at the end- a crib tournament. It gets pretty serious and is always so much fun. I built a trophy to up the stakes and started a tradition of making good luck head gear. We split into girls vs boys and proceed to trash talk each other. It’s basically the best. What wasn’t the best is that us girls lost our winning streak last summer. We’ll be back boys, we’ll be back.
The magazine is great and full of inspiration, you can find my work on page 70.
Want to be published? The deadline for Spring 2020 is October 1. You can check out all the calls for submissions & details here.
Thanks for popping by, you’re awesome!
