Have you seen the August Month Kit from @treasuredmemoriesedmonton ? It’s SO good! I’m sharing a few of my pages today with some close up shots. I love the use of a stamp to create backgrounds & I love that this kit is designed with purples. My number one tip (and practice) when creating: add dimension. Layers and 3D foam. It completely changes the look & feel of a project. 3D foam comes in multiple thicknesses so you can have a little or a whole lot…. which is exactly how I like it. Another tip, add your butterflies with a staple through the body, then pop those wings up for another layer of goodness! #scrapbooking #12x12scrapbooking #12x12layout #nadinekarendesign
Free Sketch Friday. Hello Hello, here is sketch # 4 & my take on it.
I’m going to let you in on a little secret… I can’t do it all. I know, I’m shocked too. I am back in Edmonton, I packed all my work (and I mean all- a whole car full of tools & product) & I was convinced I would get it all done. It would be just like old times, when I lived here. Except I don’t live here, I am staying in my camper & I am miserable as I try to rush through kit prep. I admit it, I was naive. So today I did something I never do- I just stopped. Kit prep will get done, if you’re waiting for a kit, you will get it, you’ll just have to wait. You’ll open the mail one day and there it will me- all shiny & exciting. But not this week. I am so desperate to not disappoint any of my incredible customers that I sacrifice everything else. So, to you I say “I’m sorry.” I am grateful to each & everyone of you, I know many of you are waiting but there will be no kits hitting TM this week. You’ll be the first to know when they are available but until then Hugs, big giant hugs. ♥️
I am going to give you 2 guesses as to what my favourite design is right now. Could it be 3 photos in a line surrounded by goodness? I am obsessed with the look and how it draws in your eye. This collection of cards was designed using the Rainbow Crush collection from @simplystateddesign . I absolutely love all the colors and how bright each element it. The product for Rainbow Crush is available in store & online. Card kits will be available to order in 2 weeks.
These 2 cards were designed using Unicorn Fantasy from @simplystateddesign , I love this collection so much & I wanted to create a more “mature” design for my cards. I wanted to show a different spin on a collection that has a “younger” design (think unicorns & cutie girls). I’m finishing up prep on these and they will be available soon as single card kits.
