The future is bright. ☀️

This past weekend at a BJJ seminar, Cory received his brown belt. To most people it’s just a belt. To these men & women that train (and their families) it’s so much more than a belt. It’s years of training, hard work & determination. It’s sacrifices & let downs. It’s wins & losses. It’s lessons from both the wins & the losses. It’s leaving your family, it’s watching hours of training on YouTube. It’s reading the magazines and learning new chokes & holds. It’s hundreds & hundreds of dollars committed to their craft. To receive your brown belt is huge! It’s one step closer to that glorious black belt. It’s recognition for everything you’ve poured yourself into. It’s an honour to be seen and awarded by the best in your craft. When we first started dating he told me about BJJ and how he wanted to get back into it, he found a gym and started training. That was 14 years ago. He has been working for this moment for 14 years! @wachter10 - I am so proud of you, I can’t even describe how happy I am for you. 🤎🤎🤎 @sbgedmonton @sbgdraytonvalley

Lunch club today was at PIP. It was exactly what my heart needed & the hollandaise was delicious!

I am super proud of this guy. He walked away with a gold medal & the Absolute Champ belt at a Jiu Jitsu tournament yesterday (while sick). He works hard in & out of the gym and his determination is inspiring. Congratulations Champ @wachter10 & thank you Coach Steve @kamakazisteve for keeping those belts at your gym. 😉
