Hi! I’m Nadine and I’m so happy you’re here. I am an adventurer, mural hunter & inspiration seeker. I am the paper lover, owner, designer & kit maker here at Nadine Karen Design. I have been creating & making for as long as I can remember. I’ve dabbled in painting, cross stitching, knitting, beading, crafting and DIYing. But my heart holds true to creating with pattern paper. I design greeting card collections, mini albums, folios, scrapbook layouts and more. I turn almost all those projects into kits that you can then use to create your own projects and I sell them in my online shop here.

I quit my “job job” in 2009 to pursue my creative passions & work for myself. I have been teaching scrapbooking, card making, and building kits since then. I got my start at Treasured Memories, a scrapbook store in Edmonton, Alberta. TM has since closed, the owner making the move to product creation with Simply Stated Design. I have worked at multiple events, teaching for Creative Scrapbooker Magazine & working for and with Simply Stated Design.  

In July of 2022 my family relocated to British Columbia for my husband’s work. We settled down in Langley, located about 45 min from Vancouver in the lower mainland. We love it here, the mild climate, the green space, the closeness to both mountains and ocean. 

This space is where I get to share my life and work with you. I want to inspire people to be creative, to get out and explore. I want to share my experiences. I want to be a part of a community of like minded individuals. I want more joy out of life. I want to make beautiful things. I want to leave a little light wherever I go.
